As human beings, we always find ways to justify our decisions.

“If anyone asks, this is what I’m going to say,” we say to ourselves. Because we’re far too afraid of looking bad, and when we don’t have answers, we think we look bad.

“Because God told me to” is the favorite catch-all, but also the ultimate copout. If you examine closely, you’ll realize it has nothing to do with God, but rather to do with what God has put in you. When you’re communing with yourself, you’re really communing with God. And so, we grow closer to God when we agree with ourselves. Because it is one and the same.

Which is why we’re at odds with ourselves when we say, “I feel like this is what I’m meant to do, I just don’t know yet. I’m asking God to make it clear.”

But truthfully, you’re just asking yourself and your subconscious mind to make it clear. Because God is in you, and you are in God. Answers will be forthcoming when you make the request and hold no doubt in your mind.

You don’t need to justify anything. You’ve chosen because you’ve chosen. Don’t worry about looking bad. Do what feels right to you. Then you will not be conflicted. You don’t want to be conflicted, because to be conflicted with yourself is to be conflicted with God. Being conflicted will only prolong the journey unnecessarily.
