As people seek to accumulate wealth, a common and familiar trap they fall into is analysis paralysis. Instead of actually working towards the accomplishment of their goals, they end up spending all of their time thinking about them.

Take Action

The Conflict of Intelligence and Action

This is especially true of intelligent, analytical people. They end up complicating simple problems. They feel like they need a good answer for everything they think and do. Instead of taking action, they just talk about it and think about it.

Trying to develop a sound reason for every action is impractical, because human beings are emotional by nature. We make a lot of decisions on emotion as opposed to statistics, numbers, facts or logic. We act on our values, and our values always reveal our character.

Unrewarded intelligence is all too common. Applied well, it is a blessing. It is a curse if it holds you back from taking action. You don’t have to be smart to be able to do great things.

The Conflict of Talent and Action

Sometimes people will look at other talented people and compare themselves. Even though some people are naturally gifted with various skills, what many people don’t realize is that they still had to work at it to get good at it. Don’t compare; and most of all, don’t compare your worst moments to someone else’s highlight reels.

Talents are nice to have. They can be leveraged to help others and to market your personal services. However, much like intelligence, unacknowledged talent is not uncommon. Just look at the music industry. Talent is not everything.

The Conflict of Education and Action

It’s not uncommon for people to return to school after a few years in the workforce. Either they want to increase their personal value or develop their skills in another field. Regardless, it is always for the purpose of finding another job.

Jobs will forever be the rut system. There is no getting ahead, and there is no wealth or freedom in jobs. The sooner you realize this, the sooner you can get on a path towards amassing wealth.

Education is not holding you back. There are a lot of educated people that are more broke than you are.

The Purpose of Ideas

Have you ever had unique and creative ideas come to you, seemingly out of thin air?

Ideas are meant to be developed and shared and acted upon. Why else would God give you ideas? A good plan executed now is better than a perfect plan that is never carried out.

Perhaps you have more ideas than you know what to do with. Why not share them with others? Creating wealth is about adding value to people and solving their problems, so why not go out and plant some seeds?

Conclusion

Nothing will ever replace the action habit. Intelligence, talent and education are all nice to have. However, they won’t do you much good if you’re not in the habit of going and getting. Get the action habit.
