Pauses

Spread the love:

You’re approaching the new year.
Pausing to reflect on the year you just had.
Looking ahead to get a sense of what you want to do next.

Only, this year seems different.

Normally, you would hit the ground running, excited about the possibilities.

Soaked in personal development materials and armed to the hilt with strategies, tactics, and to-do lists, you’d be raring to crash through the starting gate and bulldoze your way through obstacles that dare stand in your way.

But this time? This year? You’re getting the sense that you need to pause for a little longer.

You’re feeling led to let go of the way you used to do things.
To stop falling into habitual patterns of hustling and grinding.
To stop trying to prove something to yourself and the world.

You’re learning to TRUST that what’s meant for you will find you…
That without all the striving and hard work…
The space you leave will be filled by blessings unimaginable.

Starting takes discipline, yes, but sometimes pausing also takes discipline.

Pausing compels you to turn inside, to look at how you feel about yourself, not just what you create.

The pauses matter.

And if you can’t be with what shows up in the pauses…

It also means you can’t truly be with yourself.

Being with yourself matters more than producing, because you have value apart from what you create and bring to the world.

YOU are the creator.
YOU are the magic.
YOU are the source.

Create, yes, but create not to prove.

Create out of the overflow of who you are.

Be with yourself
