It took me awhile to get it all sorted out, but I finally completed my first Joomla! site. Having worked with WordPress and Movable Type in the past, I thought it wouldn't be too much nuisance, but as it turns out, they all have their eccentricities and they all work differently. In the case of Joomla!, quite a bit differently.
After test driving Joomla! and working through a couple of tutorials, I had thought about using it for Arctic Sunburn, but after some deliberation, I decided against it. However, I will probably be using it for all future website projects, including new versions of Academe Design and Red Flame Records. I am mighty impressed with it.
In any case, the website in question is DAWSessions.com. I had something like a dozen or so people suggest I get into session work, so I thought "why not?" I don't necessarily have a lot of business sense, but I know how to get a website started and how to design business cards so I figured I would start there.
Take a look and let me know what you think. Is there anything you would change to make it easier to navigate?
